We are an Iwi endorsed and funded kaupapa M膩ori organisation, serving to empower Iwi, while protecting and advancing M膩ori fishing interests and rights.
We protect M膩ori rights and interests in fisheries, confirmed through the compromised agreements, the Treaty of Waitangi (1840) and the Deed of Settlement (1992). More importantly, we protect our inherited rights guaranteed through our whakapapa as direct descendants of Tangaroa.
