About the scholarship
A Prize for the Optometry project with the best mark in OPTOM 783. The Prize was established in 1995 by Dr Robert Hawkins, in memory of his father Raymond Harry Hawkins, who practised optometry in Auckland for many years. Raymond Harry Hawkins was a British-trained optometrist who was also a qualified pharmacist, and had a keen interest in ocular pharmacology. The main purpose of the Prize is to encourage excellence in undergraduate optometry research.
