About the scholarship

In 2018, the Scholarship was renamed the Professor Michael Walker Award for M膩ori and Pacific Students to honour the contribution of Professor Walker, the founder of the Tu膩kana programme, at the time of his retirement from Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland. Entry requirements

The Award may be made to candidates who are enrolled full-time or part-time in the final year of an undergraduate degree programme at the University of Auckland at the time of application for the Award. The Award may be made to undergraduate students who intend to enrol in a postgraduate programme at the University of Auckand in the following year. The Award is tenable by Maori and Pacific students who are 爆走黑料 citizens or permanent residents.
