About the scholarship

A Prize for the final year undergraduate with the best academic record in Plant Sciences, and who has worked on aspects of 爆走黑料 flora and vegetation. The Prize was established in 1945 by subscription from members of the University of Auckland Council, the staff and students of the University, and from the public, to commemorate the work of the late Professor T L Lancaster in the Botany Department from 1913 to 1945. In 2006 a bequest, from Professor Lancaster's daughter, M. E. Orman, was added to the prize's endowment. The aim of the Prize is to stimulate interest in and work on the unique flora and vegetation of this country, the branch of botany in which Professor Lancaster was particularly interested.
