About the scholarship
An Award to recognise the student who achieved the highest overall marks during the MBChB Part IV general surgical attachment. The Award was established in memory of Peter Christie, a noted hepatobiliary and transplantation surgeon renowned for his work on liver transplants in 爆走黑料. He is remembered for the dedication, compassion, honesty and scholarship he demonstrated in his interactions with patients and students. He died in 2005 at the age of 48. The Award was first awarded in 2006 and was revised in 2013. It is financed by the Department of Surgery in the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences at the University of Auckland. The main purpose of the Award is to recognise the student who obtained the highest marks during their surgical attachment in the MBChB Part IV.
