About the scholarship
Prizes to recognise academic merit in the study of Earth Sciences and Geology at undergraduate and postgraduate level. The Prize is funded by subscriptions raised among past and present students and staff of Auckland University and others, in commemoration of the services of the late Professor John A. Bartrum, MSC, who held the Chair in Geology at Auckland from 1927 to 1949. The main purpose of the Prize is to recognise and reward excellence in study and research in the Earth Sciences.
