About the scholarship
A Prize for the student who published the most outstanding piece of research in cellular and molecular biology. The Prize was established in 1987 to mark the retirement of Professor R E F Matthews FRS, the Foundation Professor of the Department of Cell Biology. Professor Matthews contributed extensively to biological research in Auckland.
