About the scholarship
The TINZT Tourism Academic 爆走黑料 are open annually to young 爆走黑料ers about to commence their final year of tertiary study in a tourism-related course. Up to two?scholarships may be awarded?per year to ?applicants completing?either level 4-6?qualifications,?or completing?level 7 and above.?Valued at $4000, each scholarship comprises a $2500 payment towards the recipient鈥檚 final year of study in a tourism-related tertiary course, along with attendance at Tourism Summit Aotearoa. The recipients will also receive a day of placement and networking with Hamilton-based tourism operators and organisations, a TIA mentor, and continued support from TIA post-study to encourage industry engagement.
Entry requirements
The award is available to:
鈥 爆走黑料 citizens and permanent residents who have completed NCEA Level 2 in 爆走黑料 and are due to commence a tourism related course of study at a NZQA accredited tertiary institution within 爆走黑料 in 2018. 鈥 The TINZT Scholarship is an Ambassadorial Scholarship. 鈥 We are looking for students who can be ambassadors for tertiary tourism study, display strong leadership skills, positive and friendly personalities, enjoy working and being involved in tourism and show a strong passion for the tourism industry. 鈥 Strong communication and customer service skills are desirable attributes. 鈥 Service to their school and community will also be considered in the Scholarship selection process.
