About the scholarship

This scholarship was established in 2025 by Marion Walton (a graduate of Te Herenga Waka鈥擵ictoria University of Wellington) with both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Psychology degree. The scholarship is intended to support students interested in pursuing a Master's degree in Cognitive and Behavioural Neuroscience, Forensic Psychology or Clinical Psychology. Selection will be made based on academic merit and financial hardship. Recipients are expected to write a letter of appreciation to the donor, within one month of receiving the scholarship, and provide an end of year progress report that will be shared with the donor.

Entry requirements

Applicants must be enrolled or intending to enrol in a Master's degree programme (either by thesis or coursework and thesis) in Psychological Science at Victoria University of Wellington, with a focus on one of the following areas: Cognitive and Behavioural Neuroscience, Forensic Psychology, Clinical Psychology. A completed online application must be submitted by 4:30 pm on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Any required supporting documentation (including references) must also be received by 4:30 pm on the closing date in order for the application to be considered.
