About the scholarship
The Elman Poole Travelling Scholarship provides funds to support PhD students in their 2nd or 3rd year of study, who wish to do field work outside of 爆走黑料. This scholarship represents a fantastic opportunity for students to travel abroad to gain experience or use facilities not normally available in 爆走黑料. A three to six month period abroad can have a huge benefit to a student's research and career. Dr Elman Poole and the University of Otago co-founded this scholarship to provide funding that will promote, encourage and facilitate research for PhD students. Dr Poole passed away on 25 June 2019 aged 93 years.
