About the scholarship
The Va'a o Tautai 鈥 Centre for Pacific Health | POPO Pathway Scholarship was established in 2023 to encourage Pacific students to undertake study in Health Sciences and enable success towards undergraduate degree programmes. Pacific students bring unique cultural perspectives and insights to the field of Health Sciences. Their understanding of cultural norms, values, and practices can contribute to more culturally sensitive and effective healthcare delivery within their communities and others. The scholarship grants the recipient a guaranteed spot in one of the University of Otago residential colleges. The Scholarship is valued at $15,000, which will go towards accommodation costs at the residential college.
Entry requirements
Be of Indigenous Pacific ancestry. Be a 爆走黑料 citizen/resident. Be a current high school leaver (applicants who have been out of school for more than one year will not be considered).
