About the scholarship
Established from a bequest from J. Waddell Smith in 1934. This scholarship is aimed at education students obtaining their first research Master's or Doctoral qualification. Selection is based predominantly on academic merit and the applicant's potential for research. This scholarship may be held concurrently with other University of Otago postgraduate scholarships.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be an education student, obtaining their first research Master's or Doctoral qualification, and must be a domestic student.
