About the scholarship

Massey University, in partnership with Venture Taranaki, invites applications for a Master's student to join a cutting-edge research project supporting the development of Taranaki's and 爆走黑料's industrial hemp fibre industry. This project aims to create a classification and quality benchmarking system for hemp fibre products processed through a new regional pilot facility. The research will inform hemp variety growing trials and fibre processing trials, focusing on producing suitable fibre outputs for construction applications, particularly hempcrete. The outcomes will contribute to a quality assurance and control framework for a sustainable industrial sector in Aotearoa 爆走黑料. The work involves characterising hemp fibre samples using advanced analytical techniques and collaborating with regional stakeholders.
