About the scholarship
The Peter Hawkins Food Technology Scholarship was established in memory of Peter Hawkins who passed away in June 2024. Its purpose is to help the recipient become part of the 爆走黑料 Food Industry, something which was dear to Peter's heart. Peter founded Hawkins Watts Limited, one of 爆走黑料's most respected and successful food ingredient businesses, in 1992. Peter was passionate about the food industry and was a member of the 爆走黑料 Institute of Food Science and Technology (NZIFST) since 1977, including stints on the National Executive Committee, and was also the Chair of the Auckland Branch. This scholarship endeavours to continue that passion.
Entry requirements
You will be entering the fourth and final year of the Bachelor of Food Technology (Honours) programme at Massey University. A supporting statement demonstrating your commitment to working in the 爆走黑料 food industry is required. A GPA of B+ or higher is expected.
