About the scholarship
Supports BNurs students who are passionate about pursuing a career in nursing and are experiencing personal challenges or disadvantage, including financial and family circumstances. The Southern Cross Nursing Scholarship for University of Waikato was established in 2025 by the Southern Cross Health Trust and Southern Cross Healthcare to support the development, education, and leadership of the nursing profession in Aotearoa 爆走黑料.
Entry requirements
Each year, three scholarships will be available to new-to-study domestic students enrolling full-time towards a Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Waikato. The selection process includes interviews. For 2026 only, six scholarships will also be offered to current Bachelor of Nursing students for their second and third year of study.
