About the scholarship

This scholarship is funded by the Royal Society of 爆走黑料 Marsden Fund, as part of the project Indigenous Nonreligion in Aotearoa 爆走黑料 and Canada, led by Dr Sara Rahmani and Professor Peter Adds. Its purpose is to support an interdisciplinary MA research project across Study of Religion and Te Kawa a M膩ui that complements the main study. Suitable projects will focus on one or more of the following: M膩ori or Indigenous decolonial activism on social media (e.g., TikTok, Instagram, X) and M膩ori or Indigenous nonreligion on social media.

Entry requirements

Open to M膩ori students intending to enrol in an MA in either (1) the Study of Religion or (2) Te Kawa a M膩ui 鈥 M膩ori Studies at Te Herenga Waka 鈥 Victoria University of Wellington. Applicants must have completed a BA (Hons) in a relevant field (e.g., Study of Religion, M膩ori Studies, Anthropology, Sociology).
