About the scholarship
The NZUA was launched to provide more opportunities for talented Vietnamese students to access and experience world-class education in ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ. The scholarship programme is administered by Education ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ (ENZ) in partnership with ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ universities. Become the first generation of Vietnamese students to receive the NZUA scholarship. There are 14 scholarships to study at one of eight world-class universities in ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ.
How To Apply
To apply for the NZUA, students must provide the following information by 11:59pm Indochina Time on 31st August 2025:
- Proof of student’s citizenship, e.g. screenshot of passport,
- A notarised English translation copy of the student's Grade 12 transcript
- English certificates (IELTS, or PTE Academic, TOEFL iBT, or any relevant certificate showing students English capability) or equivalent English capability evidence,
- Students under 18 at the time of application, provide the name and contact details of the student's parent(s), guardian(s) or caregiver(s). If successful, they will be advised on the outcome of your application to the NZUA
Students must also submit a short video, which will be judged based on:
- Why is the student applying for the ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ Universities Awards?
- What are the benefits of a ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ education and how will it benefit the student?
- How would the student adapt to their chosen ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ university?
- The creativity of the video
Entry requirements
In order to be eligible to enter the initiative, students must:
- Have completed secondary education in Viet Nam[1]
- Be a legal citizen of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam,
- Are currently residing in Viet Nam,
- Not hold ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ citizenship or permanent residency,
- Not currently be studying in a pathway/articulation/joint programme between a Viet Nam institution and ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ university.
- Be aged between 16 and 19 years at the time of application,
- Have obtained an unconditional or conditional offer of place letter from one of the eight ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ universities
- Meet the academic[2] and English (equivalent to IELTS 7.0 with no band under 6.5 or above) requirements
- Be able to commence study for whole bachelor’s degree programme in ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ in February 2026. If you are awarded an NZUA scholarship and cannot start in February 2026, any deferral requests will be handled on a case by case basis with the awarding university.
[1] This includes MOET’s secondary education programme and any other international programmes that are allowed to be taught in Vietnam and meet the admission criteria of ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ universities
[2] MOET curriculum: Grade 12’s overall GPA from 8.5 and above, Cambridge A-level: a minimum of two A grades and one B grade (best three subjects), International Baccalaureate (IB): a minimum of 32 points.
