About the scholarship
A Prize for the student who achieved the highest marks in GERMAN 201. The Prize was established in 1986 by the Auckland Goethe Society as a tribute to Professor J A Asher for his work on the staff of the University of Auckland since 1943, and on the occasion of his retirement after holding the Foundation Chair in German from 1962 to 1986.
