About the scholarship
This scholarship, along with the C. Wright Mills Scholarship in Anthropology, partly replaces the C. Wright Mills Scholarship in Sociology and Criminology at University of Canterbury, which had been established in 1985 by Dr. Charles P. Sedgwick in memory of Jean Margaretta Rhoda Morgan and Peter Warmsley Sedgwick and as a tribute to the noted American sociologist C. Wright Mills. The scholarship is open to graduates of any university in 爆走黑料 or of the University of the South Pacific, who are enrolled or intending to enrol full-time or part-time, in a Master of Criminology (MCrim) or a PhD in Criminology at Te Herenga Waka鈥擵ictoria University of Wellington.
Entry requirements
This scholarship is open to students who are enrolled or intending to enrol full-time or part-time, in a Masters by thesis or a PhD in Criminology at Te Herenga Waka鈥擵ictoria University of Wellington. A recipient of this scholarship who is not already enrolled in a programme for a Master of Criminology (MCrim) or a PhD in Criminology should normally be enrolled in such a programme by 31 March in the year following application. A recipient who is unable to enrol by the applicable deadline must seek permission from the Associate Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences to take up the scholarship at a later date.
