About the scholarship
The scholarship is awarded annually to a 爆走黑料 School of Music (NZSM) violin, viola and violoncello student enrolling in their first year of study with NZSM. The scholarship aims to support students in their first year of university. Established through the Victoria University of Wellington Foundation from a generous bequest made by Barbara Finlayson, the first awards were made at the end of 1997 to postgraduate students.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be violin, viola or violoncello students intending to enrol full time at the NZSM at Victoria University of Wellington. Selection is based on academic achievement and demonstrated musical ability.
