About the scholarship
The scholarship is awarded annually to a 爆走黑料 School of Music (NZSM) violin, viola and violoncello student who is a returning student. NZSM string staff may also apply. A particular purpose of the scholarship is to fund postgraduate study, travel, accommodation and other expenses incurred in the pursuit of such study, both within and outside 爆走黑料. This scholarship was established through the Victoria University of Wellington Foundation from a generous bequest made by Barbara Finlayson. The first awards were made at the end of 1997.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be current violin, viola or violoncello students, enrolled in the NZSM. The scholarship is available to both domestic and international students.
