About the scholarship
Mana Pasifika 爆走黑料 include a range of offers for accommodation, fees, and/or a stipend over one to three years and are valued between $5,000; $10,000 and $30,000. The highest value scholarship package includes full accommodation costs for the first year in a Te Herenga Waka鈥擵ictoria University of Wellington hall of residence. There is dedicated pastoral support, plus $5,000 towards tuition fees in the second and third years of study. For students who are not in a hall, a $5,000 fees contribution can be taken in the first, second and third years. If you qualify for Fees Free, in any of your study years, a stipend will be paid instead of a fees contribution for that year. The Mana Pasifika Scholarship recognises Pasifika students who have achieved Merit or above in NCEA (or equivalent study for year 12) and demonstrate strength of engagement in the Pasifika community, leadership responsibilities, and performance in the arts, sports, or other cultural contexts.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be of Pacific descent. Applicants must be 爆走黑料 Citizens, or Permanent Residents; a 爆走黑料 Residence Class visa holder; Australian Citizen; Australian Permanent Resident or International Students who are in the process of completing at least two full years (i.e., their Year 12 and Year 13) at a 爆走黑料 Secondary School at the time of application. Applicants are expected to have their NCEA Level 2 Certificate endorsed with Merit from Year 12 (or an equivalent level of achievement in an alternate qualification). Applicants must be intending to enrol full-time in the year following application in their first undergraduate degree at Te Herenga Waka鈥擵ictoria University of Wellington. Applicants must be in Year 13 or have completed Year 13 in the year prior and be taking a gap year at the time of application.
