About the scholarship
A $2,000 Award to support a Part IV BAdvSci(Hons), or BSc(Hons), or MSc, or MEngGeol student enrolled full-time in the School of Environment. The Award was established in 1998 and is financed from a bequest to the Department of Geology, University of Auckland, from the estate of Robin James Mowat. Mr Mowat was a former seaman, and as a mature student enrolled in Stage I courses in Geology in 1981 and 1982. The main purpose of the Award is to support postgraduate research in the Master of Science or Bachelor of Science (Honours) research in Earth Sciences, or Part IV of a Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) in Geology.
