Develop your industry knowledge and skill 鈥 from workplace safety, communication and construction terminology, to mastering calculations and basic building technology in a safe and supportive environment.

Complete real-world carpentry projects and graduate work-ready with this Construction Trade Skills (Carpentry) Level 3 programme.

In this carpentry course, you鈥檒l build the skills you need to work safely and confidently in construction. You鈥檒l learn how to follow safety rules on a worksite and communicate clearly with your team and others in the trade. You鈥檒l also learn to read and understand building plans and use basic maths to help you complete projects accurately.

As well as this, you鈥檒l focus on carpentry skills and knowledge. Learning about different building materials like timber, concrete, and steel. You鈥檒l become familiar with construction and installation work, as well as important carpentry tools and terms.

Next, you鈥檒l practice joining techniques and learn how to plan and build in the right order. Finally, you鈥檒l develop the skills to check and report on your work, from the first stages of construction to the final finishing touches.

Entry requirements

Must be 16 years of age or older and a 爆走黑料 Citizen or Permanent Resident.
