About the course
As a hairdressing apprentice you鈥檒l be employed by a hairdressing business and be trained by a qualified employer or trainer in the salon. You鈥檒l learn how to perform a range of hairdressing services, including: Cutting Colouring Perming and straightening Fashion skills Hair-up work Shampooing Blowdrying Setting You鈥檒l learn customer service skills and the commercial skills required to run a professional hair salon. When you finish your apprenticeship, you鈥檒l be fully qualified and achieve the 爆走黑料 Certificate in Hairdressing (Professional Stylist) (Level 4). You鈥檒l also gain relevant, valuable work experience to include on your CV.

To become a HITO hairdressing, barbering or beauty therapy apprentice, you must be fully employed in a salon, barbershop or clinic anywhere in 爆走黑料. Once you鈥檙e employed, you鈥檙e able to sign a training agreement with your employer and HITO.
HITO have Sales and Training Advisors across the country who will support your apprenticeship journey by visiting your workplace and providing you with training materials to support your learning and assessments.
Hairdressing, barbering, and beauty therapy apprentices
have many opportunities to progress into senior roles. The communication,
business and problem-solving skills they gain during their training prepare
them for a range of careers in and outside of the hair and beauty industries.
