About the course
If you're passionate about the environment and enjoy working outdoors this year-long course will kick-start your career in conservation. You'll learn about ecology, conservation management planning, maintaining personal and public health and safety, teamwork and more. The learning is hands-on and gives you a great range of skills including how to drive quad bikes and light utility vehicles, operate and maintain a chainsaw, use agrichemicals and manage pest control, and build and maintain tracks, fences and other conservation facilities.
Entry requirements
To be admitted to this course, applicants must meet the following general admission requirements:
NCEA Level 2 with passes in English/Te Reo M膩ori or education achievement at least equivalent to NCEA Level 2
