About the course
M膩ori Performing Arts is an exciting, social, interactive and energetic programme. Do you have experience in the arts like kapa haka, theatre or drama? Have you always wanted to learn about using voice, sound and movement? Our kaiako have industry experience and they'll make this an experience of a lifetime.
Learn how to produce and perform at a professional level. You'll also build your self-confidence and an understanding of your identity. Immerse yourself in te ao M膩ori and watch your future open up before your eyes!
When you pass this programme, you'll get this qualification:
- 爆走黑料 Certificate in Ng膩 Toi Level 4 (M膩ori Performing Arts)
You'll learn about:
- performance skills
- performance production
- performance studies
- time and project management skills
- other toi practitioners
- rangahau (research)
- history, tikanga and cultural practices relating to toi.
Entry requirements
To enrol in this programme, a potential student must be:
- be at least 16 years of age
- be a 爆走黑料 citizen (or citizen of Australia, Tokelau, Niue, Cook Islands) or permanent resident
- submit a portfolio of creative practice
- attend an interview and selection process to demonstrate suitability to the programme.
